Webinar: Quality Improvement Series: Fostering Healthy Relationships Throughout Your Community

December 7, 2022

Many residents and their loved ones have big questions about senior living: Will I be safe in this community? Will I be listened to? Will what’s important to me be understood? Communities and caregivers want to respond with a strong “yes” to every resident. But it takes some education and effort to ensure all residents have a high quality of life. Person-centered care approaches are one way to reach this goal. Hear from leaders at communities that have been successful in understanding different family dynamics and making families, LGBTQ seniors, couples, and all residents truly feel at home.

After this webinar, attendees will:
• Understand the markers of a resident-centric senior living community and be able to leverage strategies to "see" residents, listen to them, and focus on their individual needs.
• Learn how to support the successful aging of residents and how to fully engage them in campus life.
• Better understand the unique needs of the LGBTQ+ community and send a clear message that LGBTQ+ individuals are welcome and will receive culturally competent care in their communities.
